Somehow this video ended up on my screen. These days videos are embedded in Facebook, they are attached to messages and seem to always want our attention. Whether it is a funny cat video or someone trying to sell what we do not need, there is a constant stream. Usually I am adept at simply moving on, but for some reason, I slowed down long enough to become curious and to watch to the very end… Here is a link to the video:
I hope you can see it. If not, come join us on Sunday, I may just use it.
It is a video about a race and overcoming the most difficult of challenges. In life, all of us will – at some point – stumble and fall. The question is, what do we do then? The person who will make a difference and be fruitful in life is not the one who never stumbles, it is the one who gets back up and keeps running. It is so easy to give up either because we have stumbled and fallen or simply because we are too afraid of failure to even try! I encourage you; come this Sunday. We are starting our third week of the iLife Journey and, if you let Him, God will use this Sunday to change your life!
By the way, were you in the service on Easter?! It was a wonderful service. The praise team truly led us in worshiping the Risen King! And our kids made me laugh with their great comments and questions (Peter, I am still looking for how the Easter Bunny ever got connected to Easter!). The Fellowship Meal afterwards was absolutely amazing! I asked you to bring something special and wow, did you fulfill that request. That was truly the most incredible spread of food I have ever seen. Thank you!! Thank you to each and every person who helped – whether in the setup, the kitchen, the cleanup, the Easter Egg Hunt (we literally had more than 700 eggs ready!). It was an incredible day and it was one of those times I have been extremely grateful to be your pastor.
